Gas, furnace oil and diesel prices in P.E.I. go up on July 14, 2023

It costs more to fill up at the pumps after the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC) announced an increase in the price of gas overnight.
In its regularly scheduled adjustment, which went into effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 14, IRAC said the price of regular self-serve gasoline went up by 1.0 cents per litre (cpl).

With the change, the price ranges from 176.1 to 177.2 cpl.
IRAC also announced the prices of furnace oil and diesel increased by 1.0 cpl.
Those changes mean the maximum price of furnace oil is 132.1 cpl while diesel ranges from 175.8 to 177.0 cpl.
With the latest adjustment, propane prices went down with decreases of 0.5 cpl for Kenmac Energy Inc. and Noonan Petroleum, along with a 0.9 cpl drop for Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing. There was a 1.1 cpl drop for Superior Propane and a 2.0 decrease for Island Petroleum.
Propane prices range from 76.3 to 79.1 cpl.
IRAC’s next scheduled pricing adjustment is July 21.
