Gas, furnace oil, diesel prices in P.E.I. increase July 28, 2023

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — It’s more expensive to fill up at the pumps after the price of gas in P.E.I. went up overnight in the latest Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission (IRAC) adjustment.

In its adjustment, which went into effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 28, IRAC said the price of gas increased by 6.5 cents per litre (cpl).

With the change, the price of regular self-serve gasoline ranges from 183.5 to 184.7 cpl.

IRAC also announced the prices of furnace oil and diesel increased by 8.0 cpl.

The maximum price of furnace oil is 142.6 cpl while diesel ranges from 187.3 to 188.5 cpl.

There were also increases to propane prices which range from 77.8 to 82.6 cpl.

IRAC’s next scheduled pricing adjustment is Aug. 4.
